Bought some Binoculars today

We figured we're going to use them now we're getting into whale season..

And some other things of interest

Blink and you'll miss it but yes that is Nicky in the sea without any life support equipment..

Eddie Lizard enjoying the sun.

And taken looking north along the peninsula as we left for the day, the light catching the sea spray.

Animal Magic

It’s currently whale season so we headed out to Muizenberg on the way to Simons Town just on the off chance – bit as it turned out we were in luck. We saw several whales close to shore which look a bit like this although at times you get to see their fins and tails.

But much farther out James spotted probably 2 whales breaching which is where they jump out of the water like so.

It’s probably one of the most amazing things I’ve seen animal wise, particularly given the size of them. For about 5 minutes we continued to see them breaching through the bino’s which was pretty much amazing.
