Clarkson would be amazed

So here's the thing. Cars, we all love them ( and if you happen to know our personal vehicle history you'll understand our particular facination with them), but when you were growing up, before you actually could drive you always had a facination with particular cars generously helped along by a long line of Athena posters, Lamboughini Countash, Porshe 911 Turbo (Pillar Box Red, whale tail spoiler), Peugeot 205 GTi, Golf Mk 1 Gti etc etc...And then when you did grow up and tried to re-live your childhood ideas of these cars they've all done 150,000 miles been driven by a bloke called Darren from Egham and the dream isn't quite as sweet as you remember.

Fear not everyone because good old VW South Africa have come to our rescue don't ask me which insane member of the VW Executive Board decided this (And if you're out there Mr VW Exec i'd love it if you enlightedn me) but they still make the MK1 Golf over here. New. Shiney. 0 miles on the clock! How mad is that. Almost everyone I mention this little peice of trivia to back in the UK, once past the astonishment phase, says almost without drawing breath - "how much to import one?" and you know whats even better, they're making a GTi version. I know what you're thinking: How? What? Why?. Answers ona postcard please.

Friday Feeling

Good day today was. Went to meet the people down and TBWA to speak to them about desk space. Really great people and an awesome office space. Now they've met me they're gonna have a think about costs and get back to me. With a bit of luck and a trailing wind should have things sorted bu wednesday. Keep everything crossed.

Probably the hottest day so far. My laptop reached a peak temperature of 59 degrees which was getting pretty insane. Rigged up some fan style afair keeping both me and my Mac cool. Still crazy hot day.

We're moving tomorrow, so lots of packing is now having to be done - like we've not had enough of that in the last 3 months.

Calamari, Chips & Cockroaches

No this isn't some local delicacy - well actually the calamari and chips is, the cockroaches are just extra - like the lolly you used to get a little chef (do they still do those?). Nope these babies were having a stroll round the V&A Waterfront whilst we were enjoying our post supper munchies - aparently they fly much to Nickys astonishment/fear.

It's been hot today

Yep thet's right. 30ยบ in the sun. My sun burn is finally going away, Most of it has flaked off onto the floor which is nice.

I've found this magical place called Charleys Bakery. They do the most amazing toasted sandwiches and cakes (not toasted). You walk into the place and wall of sugar hits you. Pictures to come soon.

This is a 'Burger Mallow'. Ingredients: Sugar.

Flipper™

By popular demand, here's our encounter with the dolphins. Not quite on par with Bill Oddie, but not bad.

Being a bit of a shut in

Due to my sunburn, i've been locked away in the dark house for most of this week. Finally venturing out today. I've got 2 meetings about desk space which are looking promising. One at a design agency called RedShift and one at TBWA. Wathc this space, i might find myself housed later today.

Also today i've comitted myself to be more thoughful when typing. Look back at the last weeks woth of blog post reveals a complete inability to type and given the industry I work it that's a bit of a problem. I tried putting it down to my tiny laptop keyboard, but things it more to do with my lack of coordination!

Any typos in that one?
