I had to move my desk this week. But it's turned out quite good. Check out me new veiw.

Push Bike

I've been cycling to work for the last couple of days. It's actually quicker than driving becaue I don't have to drive down the 1km carpark.

This week it's mostly...

...rained

But you'd would know about that wouldn't you. Floods, monsoon, Glasto and Wimbledon in the same month, ahh the British Summer (and Cape Town winter..). I'm not coming back...

Sunday was a bit a lame day recovering from the building and the basketball.. But we managed to haul ourselves out to see the sea. The day was pretty rough weather wise and the sea was being awesome. This was Llandudno which had really nice beach with a huge outcrop of rocks that had eroded so much they looked like they shouldn't stand up. We get some more pics of these ona nice day.

I moved 6000 miles to get away from DIY

So on Saturday we went to the school in Gugletu that Tamar were using for their Corporate Social Responsibility project.

Builders being builders there's a snagging list as long as your arm so it was all hands on deck to get stuff done.

So there I was Saturday morning 10am glazing the toilet block windows. As it turned out all that pulling my sash windows apart in Dulwich turned out to be good training for what lay ahead.

Again builders being builders that day was done at about 2pm and we stuck into beers and one hell of a Brai (BBQ). Now we're not talking a couple of crappy foil trays filled with charcoal and parafin, we're talking Brai South African style. 2 oil drums filled with charcoal and meat, this we were informed was what South Africa was built on.

And to wash everything donw an inpromtu game of basketball. Tamar SA + Me against Cashbuild (The Builders). Now i'm certainly no Michal Jordan and my 5'8" frame doesn't really cut it on a basketball court but I somehow managed to score 2 goals...and lead us to victory... wow. image that a group of late twenties computer/marketing people beats a bunch of 35+ builders in boots... Amazing.
